Contract Cleaning Manager

A genuinely exciting Contract Manager role has arisen with our well established, family run, contract cleaning company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of being responsible for the cleaning and porterage contract of a prestigious high profile central London blue-chip company. It is essential that you have flexibility to adapt to the needs of the client’s requirement s within the scope of the contract. This is a demanding but rewarding role and sound management and organisational skills are a pre-requisite in order to lead a large team to deliver the high standards necessary. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written are also essential in order to communicate effectively at all levels within the client business.

Main Responsibilities

Fundamentally focus on the delivery of Facilities Management
Ensure we deliver outstanding services to our client
Supervise, Motivate and Develop Cleaning Operatives, Porters and Supervisors
Provide and manage arrangements for cover in time of employee absence and holidays
Ensure the specifications and standards are being met on the client’s premises
To adhere to COSHH regulations on consumables and the use of protective clothing and equipment
Attend client meetings
Dealing with HR issue that arise onsite
Ensure all administration is completed accurately and on schedule, including payroll and processing of new starters
Ensure staffing levels are kept in line with the contractual agreement, recruiting as required
Ensure that our clients health and safety policy is implemented
Ensure equipment is maintained and regularly inspected.
Effectively and courteously liaise with the client on a regular basis. Manage the day to day procedures regarding inspections, organize and sign off periodic work

Ideal Candidate
Previous cleaning Management of a large cleaning team.
Excellent people management skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills effective at all levels
The ability to work under pressure
Excellent organizational skills-Ability to multi task and prioritize workload
Committed, motivated and passionate about people and service delivery.

Further details
40hrs per week (flexibility required)
25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays)
